Answering an Audit Question

The Audit Question screen will display the audit question, with the citation of the legislation that contains the question's industry requirement. Also when state criteria is selected with the audit plan, then State Notes may appear with the federal question. A State Note is a summary of the state legislation that describes a state specific requirement, deviation or expansion of a requirement in federal regulations. State Notes appear where applicable with the Federal Criteria Questions in the criteria and audit plans. Thus the auditor will be able to answer the Federal Criteria Questions and the applicable state regulation at the same time.

Answering an audit question in EHS Auditor requires only the selection of one of the multi-choice responses and the auditor name, who made the response. However as displayed below there many other features to express a finding.

The Comments tab displays the response to the audit question, other tabs in the finding component store the optional information that supports the finding and can be used in a post audit analysis.

Findings Information Tabs:
Attributes: Entry of other properties of the finding such as the deficient Management System component for Root Cause analysis.
Recommendations: Entry of auditor's recommendations and corrective action plans.
Supporting Documents: Storage and index of working papers, documents, spreadsheets, images and other electronic materials that were used to support findings in this audit plan.
